Challenge
Praxis Care Group is a registered charity established in 1983 and is a major provider of services for adults and children with a learning disability, acquired brain injury and for older prople, including people with dementia. Praxis Care Group includes Challenge, Praxis, Respond and the Northern Ireland Agoraphobia and Anxiety Society.
Challenge assists adults and children with a learning disability or acquired brain injury to live in appropriate community settings, through offering a holistic range of care and diversional activity. Challenge specialises in services for adults and children who have complex needs, including challenging behaviours, which could not normally be met outside a hospital or institutional setting. These services include a range of residential and supported living schemes and the provision of work and training opportunities.
The Challenge Foyle work skills projects provide education and training for adults with a learning disability in a catering setting with the aim of enhancing skills and maximising independence and potential.
