Class 11B1 & 2 in St. Mary’s High School
The Showcase of the BUZZ Programme at St. Mary’s High
School took place in the school on Thursday 25th March ’04.
Class 11B1&2 celebrated all their hard work over the eight
weeks. During the process of their particular project, this class
took part in the following ‘activities’:
1 Specialised drugs workshops with Niall Blee from “FIX-IT”
(Limavady-based youth drugs group)
2 A Facts and Legislation workshop relating to drugs and alcohol
with the Limavady PSNI
3 An Advertising Techniques study
4 A Drama ‘Modelling’ session
5 As well as this, the class sampled digital photography, stage
make-up methods, worked on text on PC’s, developed slogans,
enjoyed some painting and drawing, studied a locally-produced
(by DIVERT) documentary film and play on solvent abuse (called
MAC), etc.
The 2 posters produced as a result of their weeks of work are
hard-hitting and appeal to their age-group and above.
