What we learned


The children have created enchanting stories based on their own experiences and gathered the common elements needed to make their stories. This process allowed them to explore and express individual identity and to see how these experiences fit into their community environment. They had the opportunity to talk to individuals who help them during their everyday lives. Each class or group has created three digital stories covering the people and places important to them. The young children involved had the chance to devise and script their stories, use digital cameras and add the narration to their pictures using professional sound recording equipment. The classes also visited Rory in the Recording Studio at the Verbal Arts Centre to learn about how their work was edited.
