Poetry AnthologyThe Verbal Arts Centre has published
an up-to-date anthology of emerging poets from the North of
Ireland. Featuring twenty-nine poets who
have made their mark at the start of the new century, including
Deirdre Cartmill, Moyra Donaldson, Nick
Laird, Conor O’Callaghan and Frank Sewell, this anthology
offers many fine poems about the infinitely
surprising ways we relate to each other and ourselves. Dynamic,
diverse voices record loves, failures, dreams,
suffering – life itself.
Workshops are available with featured poets. Teachers
are advised to contact the centre for details.

Darren Shan
Darren Shan, author of The Saga of Darren Shan, and the Demonata
series, will be appearing as a guest
of the Verbal Arts Centre on: October 10th, 2006.
Darren will be reading from Book 4 of the Demonata, entitled
Bec, so contact the centre for details of how
to enter a competition to win front row tickets for you and
your friends.
