Duration: 6 hours over 3 weeks (3 two hour sessions)

This series of workshops will take you through every part of the process working from a professional sample script
involving materials, pencilling, inking, colouring and
lettering

This workshop will attempt to encapsulate the themes and moods of poetry featured on the GCSE and A Level curricula. Groups will be asked to nominate a poem which will be distilled into a 6-frame comic book layout,
highlighting the key points.

Comics - artform or hobby?

Duration: 1hr 30mins
Group size: 30
Cost: £40 per group
This workshop is aimed at students aged 14+ studying art or design. It will chart the history of comic book illustration, its conventions and innovations, and its move from underground to mainstream. The artist in residence will use images to illustrate his talk, as well as clips from well-known films which have been based on comic books.
