Foyle Yarnspinners begins its 2008 programme with an evening of song and story from one of the North-west’s best loved entertainers, Declan Forde, in the Verbal Arts Centre, Stable Lane, Bishop Street Within on Monday 11th February at 8.00p.m.
Declan, multi-talented, an art teacher by profession, writes his own material, and can keep an audience spellbound with his humorous stories, poems and songs about life in Ulster.
From the poignant tale of Annie and Pat’s sojourn in New York, to the wry tale of the “Beleek One”, Declan can move an audience from laughter to tears.
As usual contributions from the audience are welcome, so polish up your party piece and come along with your friends for a great evening’s craic.
