The idea of collecting a selection of stories from young people in the Tyrone area had been circulating within the Omagh and Strabane Youth Councils for a number of years, but for various reasons kept being put on the back burner. In June 2005 it was decided that the time had come to put pen to paper.

Working with 10 groups from all over West Tyrone, a Verbal Arts Centre facilitator started to gather details of stories from their everyday lives, detailing their hopes, fears, desires, ambitions and much much more. This website along with a booklet and CD Rom represent the culmination of that effort.
