Located on the ground floor at the heart of this historic building is a state of the art recording studio designed and built by specialist acoustic engineers and interior designers. This purpose built unit contains two rooms a main control room fitted out with the highest standard of contemporary monitoring and recording equipment available - both digital and analogue, and a well equipped live room that can accommodate up to ten musicians - yet intimate enough for individual reading.

The Control Room

The Verbal Arts Centre has comfortable air conditioned control room and live room situated on the ground floor below the cafeteria. It has a 24 track analogue console using Cubase SX for tracking. The studio is equipped for midi based projects using Reason, Reactor and various VST Instruments. The building itself also has a large live venue, debating chamber and children’s studio were signal’s can be fed directly to the control room.
