Irish Storytelling Handbook.

This handbook is produced by Storytellers of Ireland/Aos Scéal
Éireann in partnership with the Verbal Arts Centre. Storytellers
of Ireland was set up in 2003 to promote and foster the oral tradition
of storytelling throughout Ireland. The handbook is not a definitive
directory. It is intended to be a reference book for people who
may be interested in engaging a storyteller to work in a particular
context, be it for adults or children. It also provides information,
for the first time on the remarkable number of Irish people, both
living in Ireland and abroad, who are actively keeping the ancient
art-form alive for future generations, both as professional storytellers
and as enthusiastic local yarnspinners.
