Reception

Upon entering the level access main entrance into the expansive Reception Area you find yourself greeted by a sea of black and white images stretching across the floor. The Tain Bo Cuailnge is the central tale of the Ulster Cycle and the images before you are Louis Le Brocquy’s ‘Chariots ‘ completed for a translation of the Tain. The floor tiles are the result of collaboration between Dutch ceramicist Ron Van Der Noll and le Brocquy one of Ireland’s most famous artists.

You are standing in what used to be the covered play area and is now transformed in to a spacious reception area. This space is about foundations and the Reception desk is both aesthetically pleasing and practical and was designed by Knut Klimmek with this in mind.

This space hosts many of our exhibitions and can hold up to 45 people.

Ulysses Installation

Adorning the walls throughout the building is the Ulysses art installation.
